Online ordering on WooCommerce with Square as the gateway. The hard part was add-on metadata, which kept reaching the POS mangled until I patched the Square plugin.

Overview
An online ordering website for Ramen Nagomi, built on WordPress and WooCommerce with Square as the payment gateway. The interesting part was a custom integration that carries add-on metadata through to the client’s POS.
What I built
- Turned high-fidelity Figma designs into responsive WordPress landing and ordering pages.
- Built an ordering flow shaped around how the restaurant actually takes orders, rather than the default WooCommerce path.
- Integrated the Square Payment Gateway with WooCommerce for checkout.
- Modified the Square plugin so product add-on metadata reaches the client’s POS system correctly.
Outcome
Online orders now arrive in the same shape as in-store ones, add-ons included. Those add-ons used to get lost somewhere between the website and the POS.
